I planned a anniversary trip for us when we still were living in Arizona
(mostly because I knew we would be in budget life when we got back to Indiana)
so we are taking off to Chicago for a show next weekend....
but this weekend my brother and sister in law offered to watch our littles while we went out on our actual anniversary.
Levi planned our afternoon - he called and arranged for us to go on a hike in the same spot he proposed 12ish years ago.
We had a great time and were covered in burs trying to find the exact spot.
He proposed at one of Purdue University's large wooded farms (300 acres of woods) which is used mostly for research.
Afterwards, we went and watched the storm roll in on the Wabash River at the Fort Ouiatenon Park.
Fort Ouiatenon, built in 1717, was the first fortified European settlement in what is now called Indiana. It was a French trading post on the Wabash River
Who says Indiana isn't beautiful?! |
