CLAIRANA IS 16!

 The oldest just keeps getting older! Because everyone's summer schedule is crazy we had a teenager birthday party for C a couple weeks early. Some couldn't make it but she had a great time.

Coraline completed another year of drama! This year she was in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Randy's Birthday

 We had an impromptu party for Randy's birthday. I called Jack and Jane and my brothers last minute and asked if anyone could make it to dinner. It was a simple and sweet evening with a full table. 

 

Faces of History

Our yearly program for Faces of History! The kids dress up in costume and read a paper in first person. This is Coraline's last time for this class as she moves on to middle school next year. 

They all did great, we missed one student who ended up too nervous. This year was Ancient history.

 Clairana also taught art on this week because the art mom had to have spinal surgery. She did a great job.

 Everyone sang another Happy Birthday song to Andon before he leaves to head home to Idaho.

 Every year the kids have a chance to earn the Longfellow Award - Mrs. Goodsell then gives them one of her favorite poem books. They have to memorize and present 12 poems over the school year - ones that are new to them and have a meaningful reason to memorize - not just short. 

 She was showing Nephi he could keep this book and use it to give a spank when he is dad like her dad did to them. 

 This was Coraline's second year getting the award. Cabella got her first year poem book! I didn't get a picture.
