Nephi's Presentation

Weekly, the kids at Classical Conversations do a presentation of their choice to learn the skills of presenting/leading.

This week Nephi did a poem he had memorized with cut outs he made to go along with it.

I guess on the 2nd round he had Liberty (another girl in the class) hold the cut outs he was just practicing in this one. I was not in the class when he did it so the director nicely sent this to me.

Clouds

On a blue hill,
You all stand still.
When the wind stops,
You walk away slow.
When the wind blows,
Where do you go?
White sheep, white sheep,

Classical Conversations Valentine's Day

We made little LOVE BUG hats for the nursery kids.

Coraline looks so tall in this picture - She will move up to the next CC class next Fall and I am sure she will love it.

Bella will stay another year in the CC nursery or I may find someone to keep her and Cecily on Wednesdays at home while I go with the older three.

Grandpa Rick

He likes to keep us on our toes....
Heart Attacks. 911 Calls. Long Nights.
As if the past few days have not been eventful enough with grandma.

I took the older three to visit during the day with their cards and then the following night after his heart surgery Levi took Clairana and Nephi to play Blockus WAY past bedtime.
Special Memories.

** Not pictured Alex his horse I mean Lab that we have been babysitting

Grandma Ashby

Grandma Ashby
My Memories....

Always made Mexican food on Thanksgiving
Had lots of cacti and desert decor in her house
Caffeine Free Coke in the Fridge
Biggest Candy Bars on Halloween
She would do anything. Even till the end. Anry.
Loved little people
Black poodle named Shadow

Even though I was her step-grandchild you would have never known. She loved us all and we were always welcome at her house. Anytime.

She will be missed greatly.
Her death was a little easier knowing that she has an 'old man' waiting on her on the other side.
And I am sure he was ready to see her.

My brother, Nick, and I spent her last night with her.
I will never forget we were getting ready to leave and my brother kissed her on the forehead and said bye and although we did not know what she said back she mumbled to him and she knew we were there.

Fancy Photos/Conducting a Baptism

Levi conducted (he announced the program and speakers etc.) a baptism at church this past weekend so we all went to support him. So I took the opportunity to take a few individual photos.

Sandy

This is Sandy we got her from the animal shelter to live outside and chase mice in the barn.
She was SO loving and let Bella carry her around all the time.
She even helped Bella to stay close to the house instead of wandering.
Although we believe she was sick the whole time we had her which was only a few months and she passed away last week. She will be greatly missed.

Daniel the Tiger Show

Coraline & Cabella got tickets to the Daniel Tiger Show for their Christmas activity.
Levi ended up having a meeting he couldn't get out of so Grandpa came along with us.
Which was VERY nice to have company because the weather was AWFUL.
It was raining and snowing like crazy and we of course had to trek from the parking garage a few blocks over to the play.

The girls really enjoyed it and even Clairana and Nephi were caught bouncing up and down.

For Nephi's date night/Christmas gift he got a trip to Climb Lafayette and dinner at East End (which is a fancy amazing restaurant downtown.)
The girls and I were slightly jealous.

They both LOVED the climbing place and Levi actually is getting a monthly membership where he can take Clairana and Nephi. Coraline will have to wait a little longer - you must be 5 to climb.
