Beekeepers

We had a few nights last week of bee life. Nephi got to jump into all the action and hold a swarm.

Williamsburg Falls

Our adventure group headed to Williamsburg Falls and we had such a great time! We hiked down to the bottom and played in the water and stayed for a picnic lunch.

Cecily Nights

Cecily asks so many times after dinner that we play Frozen songs on Alexa so she can sing and sit on the edge of the table. It seems to just make her so happy.

Find A Grave Activity

Last night was our monthly Relief Society meeting for church. We met at the Pretty Prairie Cemetery in Battleground and heard beautiful testimonies of genealogy and then showed the sisters how to use an app called Find A Grave. You get to mark locations and take pictures of the graves per someone’s request or just to add them online if needed. It was so nice and quiet and this morning, I received a message from a lady who was so thankful for fulfilling her request.

I plan to take the kids this weekend to have them try it out.

Around the House

Last Week.
We watched another family's littles so they could go to the temple.
Bought a Van.
Church.
Gator Ride.
Levi impaled his eye and passed out on us.
Thankfully, we have a close friend who is an optometrist and saw us late Sunday.
Dr. Strickler is wonderful.
We held book club.
Ate Green Pancakes
Put up my Mother's Day present - swing!

Littlest bookclub member!

Green Pancakes - I bake them all in the oven at the same time then cut them out. I dislike flipping pancakes for thirty minutes.

Swing and plants! Now we are waiting on mulch in the garden.

 Found 4 leaf clovers!

Sunday - Oldest and Youngest!

4 Leaf Clovers!

Bookclub book. I can't say enough it is beautifully written and so good for adults and children. About a boy named Michael who is a Prince in Hungary who watches as his homeland is being taken over and run by invaders from Nazi Germany. He carries an acorn all the way from his castle home in Chestry Valley to Hudson Valley farm in the United States where he makes a new home after WW11.

It was heavy and real. I read it to everyone, I always figure even my littles will pick some history up or hear beautiful literature.

Coraline got mad this past week and yelled - AAWWH Hitler. I guess she must have understood more than I thought.
History is important. Sad stories need to be told.

NV Passenger LOVE

This past weekend we ran off to Chicago and bought an NV 12 Passenger!
We have been looking for years and honestly once we decided to make the jump last year - there was not any available. We even went to order one online and it said at least 10 months until it would arrive. Seems crazy to want a vehicle and it not be available to buy.
I guess with the pandemic so many people have gotten larger vehicles to travel in and they are not a vehicle that is traded in very often. We found one and although we weren't super excited it was white it is beautiful and new which means a full warranty which with our record we needed.
Cheers to never needing a bigger vehicle ever!

I have become fully confident in driving it after coming home in Chicago rush hour traffic.
I texted my dad on the way home and said I was pretty much Super Woman now.

Conner Prairie

Went spent yesterday at Conner Prairie with Aunt Woody. I planned a trip with our homeschooling group KLASS which we have been part of for years but I went ahead and invited out CC group too.
It was a little overwhelming at first with 7000 people there in the morning to pray for the end of Ramadan.
Once that ended it was much easier to get around and after lunch we had the whole place to ourselves.
We stayed all day and ended with a treat from Aunt Woody!

Lyla and Bella

Soldiers! Including the tiny one!

Bella!

Coraline & Mayley

Pottery House

Bella getting wore out from all the adventuring and decided to devour the chip crumbs while her siblings kept listening to the presentations.

She is the only one I took so many pictures of because I had her and Cecily close to me the whole time and the olders are all starting to be too busy with lots of friends.

Ice Cream!

This girl has now taken over my socks, shoes, and hats. I love homeschooling her and getting to enjoy so much of life together.

Woody caught a picture of me wrestling this little lady. I attempted to wear a bright color so everyone in the group could see me. Nephi said he liked it too so he could find me and still be with all his friends.

More Memories

I brought a snake for a blindfold trick in high school science and the younger group thought it was amazing. I busted them all in the bathr...
