Book Club! We read Little Britches. We had Birch Beer, played pin the tail on the donkey, and made houses. In the book the father talks about building quality characteristics in ourselves like building a strong house. The kids chose strong characteristics and we wrote them on the wood. Such a great lesson and fun activity.
Little Britches is an autobiographical account of Ralph Moody's early life in the vicinity of Littleton, Colorado. One valued lesson passed on by Moody is the importance of water rights and the profound challenges these can have in a community.
