Charolette Henry & Mary Hollingsworth - 4/2021

This is an old post that never posted but rather was stuck in my drafts and I didn't know until I went to print last year's book.

April 8th 2021.

The Davis side of the family (Jack and Jane Evans - Jane's side) had a sad season this past year. Jane lost two of her sisters. Within such a short time of each other.
Charolette and Mary. They both passed away in April 2021.

We attended Charolette's funeral as a family but unfortunately we did not attend Mary's.
Jane wrote a beautiful obituary for me to add to the blog for our family to always have.

Mary Jeanette Hollingsworth
Mary, 82 passed away on Saturday, April 17th 2021 at home in Whitetown, Indiana.
Born in Clinton County, Indiana on October 29th 1938 a daughter of Russell and Marie (Thomas) Davis.
She was married to Robert Hollingsworth in Sheridan, Indiana. He preceded her in death in November of 2004.
Mary was a 1957 graduate of Kirklin High School. Mary worked in the wire factory for years, retired from there. She enjoyed going to casinos, loved to dance, enjoyed a good joke and always had a joke to tell.
She was survived by her son and two sisters Pam Burton of Frankfort and Jane Evans of Lafayette.
Preceded in death by a brother and sister.

-------- It is hard to transition from writing about such sad topics to a few pictures I took of the day because the kids are smiling and goofing around in the car together - our family has greatly experienced death but we also share with our children often that this life is not forever that life after this is so much better and we can know that people are happier and healthy in heaven and we will see them again - forever. We also know that some people don't believe this to be true but we want to live knowing this is not the end.

Cabella and Coraline

This was Jane's letter she gave me. I love that she knows how important things like this are to everyone and she was able to share this with us.

The girls have all kept this picture for different presentations about family. They love that our family is the same as Mamaw's 4 girls and one boy. Kenneth passed away in 2005.
