CC Photo Catch Up

The week before last I taught two classes together. Clairana's class joined our youngest class.
It was so great. It made me so excited to buddy them up and teach one room school house style - which is my normal comfort zone.

Story Time to Learn about Abstract Art

Little CC Girls.

We did memory work paired with sit ups.

I LOVE my new board! This is our weekly memory work - We always have Science, History, Timeline Events, Latin, Geography, Math and English.

Cabella giving her presentation.

Our CC Day

We are rounding out CC with only one more week until we break till the New Year.

This week Clairana decided to practice the tin whistle and play Joy to the World and O Christmas Tree for her presentation - it was also pajama day!

We have finished off our bodies with the faces! We will put them together this week and bring them home. I can't wait to see them all together.

Bella decided when I wasn't looking to draw a mustache on her face to make everyone laugh. Ukk.

Our class was smaller this week.

I taught them about the Washington Monument and perspective drawing.

Nephi presenting in his class about his Lego invention.

Clairana is learning to write keyword outlines from pictures.
This week part of the in class assignment was to draw three pictures in a few minutes and then let someone else in the class write a story from your pictures.
Clairana drew these and it just made my heart so happy.

Around the House

I caught this sweet long hug down at the campsite.

Pizza Night!
We used Levi's new birthday gifts!

Pizza Crust

We took Coraline and Cabella to have well visits this past week.
With Covid I have not taken anyone for anything.
Thankfully, everyone has been super healthy this year so I didn't have a need to go.
I ended up finding a time Levi could get away and go with me. Which ended up not working out with Covid so I took Bella and he took Coraline because it was only one adult per appointment even with two patients. Is this drama over with yet!?
Anyways, we got it done and they did get one vaccination they were due for.

Cabella Lou - 42 lbs (84th %) and 3'6" (79th %)
Coraline Lee - 46 lbs (53rd %) and 3'9" (39th %)

Harriet Tubman Activity

We learned about Harriet Tubman this past week and did our own drawings.
Interesting fact - she had brain surgery without anesthesia because she remembered watching the soldiers at war and their bravery.

Around the House

No Joke. He was asleep. Is this restaurant done yet!?
Lets hide under the pile of clean clothes I needed to fold still.......

I ordered Reading Eggs for Coraline. I am normally hesitate to order subscriptions to computer curriculum because I feel like it takes more time for me to 'help' but I thought we would give it a try and see. I have ordered this for Clairana and Nephi in the past but I can't say it really worked for either of them. I am not crazy that she learn to read anytime soon so if she slowly enjoys learning from this program then that is great. I am big on not learning sight words and actually learning how to read and that process can take time.
This was my mama bookclub book last month. I LOVED it. So many things I did not know about poetry and wish I had known before. The book list out the poem and then breaks it down afterwards for all to understand. Before this book, I honestly thought poetry was just someone who casually wrote small pieces.

NEPHI DID THIS ALL BY HIMSELF!
