Co-op 26 Weeks In!

This week for science was so much fun! I took the kids down the trail of the digestive system. 
We talked about facts and then stretched out tape measures to see how long our esophagus, small and large intestines really are. 

Then we did an experiment where we mashed up crackers and bananas with lemon juice (stomach acid) and water (saliva) we used pantyhose as intestines and then used cups with a small hole to show the colon. It was full of laughter and silliness, but I am sure it will be remembered.
