Hip Dysplasia.....Sucks

When I got her dressed the other day I didn't know this would be the last time she would wear clothes for weeks.....
I would have played dress up a little longer. Cora and Clairana seemed to really enjoy getting her ready for the day.

Coraline and I being silly while I am feeding Cabella

We went to the Phoenix Children's Hospital this week which is about a 4 hour drive from our house. We were sent by our pediatrician to check out Cabella's left hip. We went to see the Ortho specialist and then to Imaging for ultrasounds.
We got a brace that has to be worn 24/7 with sponge baths and no clothes.
Life has changed a little bit already....I was really adjusting to four little people until this. We are now relearning how to nurse, diapers and sleep. She seems to be pretty uncomfortable and I seem to be emotional.

I should add that most cases of hip dysplasia are white females 85% and most all are hereditary cases or breech babies. Cabella was not born breech nor do we know anyone in the family that has it.

Ultrasound Time

By this point, we were tired, exhausted, and I had cried a few too many times.
Postpartum is not a good combination with a Children's hospital. Levi nicely reminded me that we are very blessed to only have this small issue.

Her full body harness that will stay on 24/7 without clothes or baths for 16 days then we will see....most babies wear this at least 3 months.

She hates it and so do I. Life has been rough the past few days as we are adjusting.
