Levi needed to work on the goat shed so I braved the day with taking everyone to the library, park, lunch date, and then swimming with friends - holy cow exciting day!

CMD Program

Two years ago, Levi was nominated to be part of the CMD program. 

Council for Manager Development  - this is a partnership between the Krannert School of Management and the University's Council for Manager Development Program.

Of all the employees at the University this is the number of people selected for this opportunity.

The first year is dedicated to forming a team and meeting the board of Purdue. The second year is dedicated to creating a project that will change the University for the better. 

Once the demonstration has been posted on the Purdue website I will add it to the blog. 

Levi's team chose his idea for the final project. CMIT - Construction Managers in Training. 

The idea of having the students at Purdue be hired on by the General to work on Purdue projects.

This idea has already taken off and has spread to other campuses including Ball State.

No pictures were allowed during the presentations but I did get a few afterwards at lunch with Coraline and Levi's dad came too!

Thanks to Woody for watching Clairana and Nephi as our babysitter got pink eye the night before!

VOSS Dedication/Spring Fling

On Saturday, we got to attend the VOSS (Visit our Solar System) dedication for Levi and go to Spring Fling which is an event that is held every year at Purdue University.

Being home and being able to attend all of Levi's events has been great - he has been busy lately!

Pictures from Oma's Funeral

I didn't get very many pictures from the service but it went fine and at the end both my uncle Stan and mom got up and talked (her two living children of four.)

 I think my mom ended the service perfectly by saying... I am going to miss my mom. 

After all the people that have passed in our family at young ages and my mom's battle with cancer 

I pray that she will be with me as long as she was with her mother. 

I felt very blessed by how loved I was by the Evans' family. 

Levi's grandparents, Aunt and Uncle, Parents, and Sister all came to the service. 

I told Levi for several days how special that really made me feel. 

I was also surprised by my girlfriends from grade school showing up - Brandy and Lisa.

Poison Ivy/Poison Oak

Both kids have gotten poison ivy and poison oak already this year!
 I decided to do some research and find an herb that could help with this.
Plantain (the weed you more than likely have in your yard) is great for bee stings or any rash.

You can make a salve but I decided to do a strong oil that is diffused.
This will take from two weeks to a month so we will see how strong it is!
You can do it with your crock-pot and it will be done in eight hours but not as potent.

Softball Open House/Dedication

On Saturday morning, Levi and I got to go on a date!
Nick and Emily watched Coraline and Jack & Rene watched Clairana and Nephi.
They announced and thanked Levi for his work on the new Purdue University Softball Stadium.

Yes this man actually built this stadium for 13 million dollars.....Dork

It was SO hot in the sun I HAD to buy a short sleeve shirt to CHANGE at the GAME and SUNGLASSES ....
It WAS an emergency.
