Around the House.

Dog Life.

Found these drawings from Coraline from awhile ago but I love them so much I wanted to post them here.

Bella is the phone stealer now. New Stage of Life. Takes random photos.

Party in the baby pool while we paint the trim.

Sorry Cecily had to. She is very into helping everyone cook these days. Naked or Not.

Driving Time.

Zion fell asleep like this while we did homeschooling at the kitchen table.
Bella Selfie SUPPOSED to be brushing her teeth.

We were asked to read the new book from Glenn McCarty - I met him at the homeschooling convention and he sent us an email asking to read the book before it was for sale and have an online chat about our thoughts.
We read his first book, Tumbleweed Thompson, with our book club last year.

Caught Cecily reading Mary Poppins.

We really enjoyed the book. It was shorter than his first book so we finished it pretty fast. Starts out with a man who has lost all of his memory and runs into a mute boy.... I'll stop there just in case someone else wants to read it.

Papaw came over to get the olders to play cards but when he came back the little girls begged for a ride too.

Fall Life.

At the start of October Levi and I looked at each other and decided we will have lots of time to get chores done now that soccer is over. Well.....then we got invited to TONS of parties. It has been busy and so fun so far with several more places to go.
The Asay family always have us over during October for a chili and movie night.
Dale family always have a pig roast in October so we partied all weekend.
We also had a church cookout at the Garner's house.

I thought this was so clever to take to a party.
We brought lox out to the hog roast.

I only snagged two pictures from the Evans' family getting together and going to Jeriko's football game. Cecily was crazy and all over the place but it was fun to be with family. It was super late for our crew to be out so that made it extra special.

A couple parties had bounce houses which Cecily figured out she loved.

Sheets Farm

Gentry and Carly invited us out to visit the farm and see what harvest is all about. It was AMAZING. We got to see everything. Ride in the huge equipment. See the grain mill. We felt so small and thankful to only be hobby farmers.

Co-op

Kelli did art this week and talked about French painter Henri Matisse.
It was interesting and I hadn't studied him before.
He was very sick during his life and ended up painting stain glass in a cathedral with the help of his nurse placing the pieces in just the right spots.

The kids used scissors to create a Halloween scene.
We are on break this week and will go for another four weeks before breaking for Thanksgiving.
I am so glad we went with the four week schedule it seems to be so easy to stay excited and not stressed.

For Science we talked about the different types of leaves - Needle, Simple, Compound. I had the kids all bring in two leaves and we discussed what category they fit in.
Then we did a game to see if we could identify which tree the leaves came from.

Afternoons with Dennise.

The Sheets family did their family presentations this week. Carly thanked all of us for helping her on this new journey - she continues to work ten hours a week at an engineering firm but made the switch to homeschooling this past year. She ended with saying she was Indiana's Engineer of the Year and showed a picture of her award while holding their number four and how it was a bittersweet moment of how blessed their family is.

Gather & Learn

Carly helping her little give a presentation.

Cabella! This week Carly asked them to tell about if they could be a super hero what would they pick.....costume....power etc.
Bella chose ice and her name would be Elenore. She would freeze bad guys when they try to steal kids. (she came up with that on the fly all by herself) Her costume of course would be purple with yellow glasses.

For Science we learned about parts of a plant and made flowers out of egg cartons.
Clairana led the craft portion which was awesome after such a rough week I appreciated that she had an idea and we ran with it.

Memory Work Time with Music.

Kelli helping Jane talk about being a super hero.

Coraline cracked me up - she brought an outfit to change into and wore her coat until her presentation.
She would be able to freeze time and go around taking animals off the road before they got hit by a car.
She said looking at the clock would make her powers go away.

Kelli brought such cute Halloween crafts and games for the kids this week.

More Memories

I brought a snake for a blindfold trick in high school science and the younger group thought it was amazing. I busted them all in the bathr...
