Divorce is hard on the whole family. 

Levi's sister and her husband got a divorce last year and it has been hard for our kids to adjust. Mostly, because it is just strange to have their Uncle stop by with the boys without their Aunt or vice versa. 

Although I have had several divorces on my side - the kids have not been around to experience it until now. 

I can't imagine the conversations you have to have when you are the ones who get the divorce. 

Levi and I struggled to just tell the kids about their Aunt and Uncle and answer all the questions.

It was very nice for the kids to get to visit with their cousins. Their boys are older so I am grateful when they want to come over and play with their younger cousins.

Sometimes, this guy can be a hard one to make happy but we had a great visit and he is growing up quickly.   

Laser Tag!

 We got invited to a birthday party at a new laser tag place in town. We were a little nervous in the beginning but it turned out AWESOME.

Cecily's Blessing Day

Cecily was given her blessing yesterday by Levi.

We were very blessed to have family come to church with us. 

Church is always funnier with family and especially cousins!

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints children are blessed when they are born and are not baptized until the age of accountability which is 8 or older. 

A blessing is performed by a priesthood holder which in our case is Levi and he ask other priesthood holders to join in a circle of prayer to bestow a blessing on her for this life. 

In Levi's blessing he asked Heavenly Father to bless her with the following.

Healthy and Clear Mind

Beautiful Body

Competitive in things that matter to her

Strength to form her own testimony of the gospel

Be an example to her brother and sisters

Find a Loving Companion and be sealed in the temple for time in all eternity

Then after the blessing he raises her up for everyone to see her and welcome her.

She was happy the whole time! Levi is always nervous that they will cry during their blessing.

Wardrobe Change Mid Church - I always change them out of their dresses because frankly the lacey dresses can't be that comfortable.

Movie Night with Dad

Nephi and Clairana had date night with Levi for completing another chapter book. 

Our local theater just had a remodel so they have new fancy chairs. 

We purposely pick Tuesday nights because it is only $5 for a ticket. 

Levi also let them go buy their own popcorn and water from the concession stand with his debit card. They were so excited and nervous to do it all alone.
