Father's Day

Life has been exhausting around here with Levi's work schedule and the house being resided has been SO EXCITING and emotional.

We have had really late nights of working on the house and really early mornings of workers at the house. We also had an unexpected extra labor day because so much of the house plywood needed to be desperately replaced.

I have also been trying to maintain food and drinks for the workers and they stay from sun up to sun down around here. Which we are SO thankful for but its like two families.

BUT ... Sunday was Father's Day and I was determined for us to enjoy this day together.
Camping, Campfire, S'mores, Gator Trip, Nap, Games, Reading,

We went camping on our property which was the first time we had camped together since I was pregnant with Nephi actually. I have been to girl's camp and camped for a week and Levi and Nephi go each year to the Father/Son campout for church.

It was SUPER fun and we all enjoyed it and got to hear the roosters crow early in the morning. Cecily even slept all night and woke up super excited.

Wrapping presents. Each of the kids picked out Father's Day books online and I got him some salt mined from Utah and a gun safe.

Gator Trip to the beach of course!

Breakfast on the campfire.

Letting Levi pick the game for the day. Of course it was Blokus.
Cabella got hit with the poison ivy eye now.

Clairana did the sign.

Clairana made cookies while I supervised. I LOVE not doing it and just watching.

Sleeping bags are so fun. Especially going down the stairs.

Everyone with the books they chose.

Around the House

Anytime we are in the barn now Cecily climbs herself onto a four wheeler and puts the helmet on.

LOVE THIS BOOK!
We just finished reading it for BookClub and it is a great read - reminds me of a new Tom Sawyer.
Has a great audible book as well.
Two boys - Eugene and Tumbleweed

Got this book for next year in homeschooling - We have made it a family goal to memorize the periodic chart and all the states and capitals.

Bella Lou

Swim & Pizza night with Mamaw and Papaw!

Because I want to remember these evenings when I get to tie up their long hair and help brush their teeth.

This girl LOVES tortillas.

Nephi and Cecily - Her new favorite thing - piggy back rides.

The eggs are done! We incubated 18 and ended up with 11 little chicks.

New Sand was delivered for the summer! Let the hours of sandbox time commence!
Bella and Cecily have been playing together more and more. Cecily finds Bella so funny and she loves it when Bella pretends to chase her or dress her in all the things.

Homeschooling Reference

My cousin, Brittany, has decided to homeschool her four girls so I sent these videos to her on Marco Polo but Levi suggested that after all that effort I should keep them saved somewhere.

Mostly because there are so many homeschooling choices and curriculum and I am sure after this pandemic there will be PLENTY more to choose from.

So here is the best place for me to keep them. Not all of them but a good portion.
Her girls are younger than Clairana so I didn't touch base as much on Clairana's daily schoolwork.

Bee Sting.

Last Saturday night Levi and I were hurrying to put kids to bed so we could do a mite treatment on the bees before dark. They get this treatment twice a year and when you start you must do it at the same time for three weeks.

Of course we jumped on the 4 wheeler with all our things after putting everyone to bed.

Needless to say I am very thankful that Jack and Jane and their company did not notice the naked lady running around in the field.

I started to feel a bee crawling on my neck so I asked Levi to help me but he was also covered in bees around his suit. Come to find out that was not the only bee in my suit and I had a hole in my suit where my throat was....
I was then stung once in the forehead which I thought was the end but with bees when one stings you they let out a pheromone that lets others know to sting.
I removed 8 stingers from my face/head. I was exhausted for a few days but not sick.
Once the venom left my body I felt so much better but the swelling just went down completely today.

Lesson Learned. Double check my suit as I normally always do and don't try and mess with the hives at night time.

Pictures of Clairana and Nephi with their one eyes (both from awhile back)

Family Photo Long Ago.

Her daughters - Jeanie, Charlotte, and Audrey with Daughter in Law - Angie
All the girl grandchildren - Brittany, Me, Tori, Hannah, & Madi
My two aunts - Jeanie and Charlotte have passed away as well as my grandmother.

New Look Coming Soon!

We purchased new siding for the house earlier this year and after waiting for it to come in we realized it was REALLY HEAVY. So, thankfully with our extra stimulus money Levi and I decided to hire a group of men to put it up. They will be here for four days and it will be completed!

I am SO EXCITED.

This weekend we spent prepping for the big event.
This will mean that we will be able to start back up again on the girl's room since we were waiting on the siding to make sure everything stayed dry.

We took out a door in the old garage that led into the house and a back door that led into the house.
We replaced the backdoor one with a large window.

Coming SOON!!
White Stucco with Cedar Trim!
English Cottage look. I was waiting to find something that I would really love that wasn't like everyone else.

We did find this house that gave us an idea of what it will look like. We will be doing white rather than the beige on this house.

Side view of the house - we will see how artistic we end up being with the boards.

LAST HOUSE PICTURE
Plus here is a view of the garage doors turned windows.

Back door by our laundry room which we never used.

Turned Window.
I am going to look for a L shaped desk to make this a little den for Clairana and Nephi to work on the desktop and still have our computer out in the open.
Levi and I decided long ago that we would not allow devices in bedrooms.

Goat Pictures

We burned off horns today so before we do I always like to get the last 'cute' picture before their little heads heal.
