Now as you know we have been sick for awhile in our house, so we have been asking Clairana all the time "Do you feel better?" So on the way home the other night she busted out into song.
This is from the Disney show Doc McStuffins which she loves.

Kelly & Reni's Wedding

Kelly (Levi's dad) and Reni got married in the LDS temple on Valentine's Day and they had a reception on Friday night in Lafayette.

We ran home from work and got dressed (twice-don't ask) before venturing out with a sick little man and Ms. Dancing Shoes Clairana.

It was a good time but we had to call it a night early because Nephi was really struggling with not feeling well and needing his breathing treatment.

We ran home from Heather's on Friday evening to change clothes and head to Kelly and Reni's wedding reception. Clairana was not thrilled about getting back in the car.

I will post more pictures soon of the party - we didn't get to stay too long because Nephi is still not feeling well.

One Extra Step

As every mother struggles with the idea of leaving their children to go to work this past

Wednesday was not any different.

Nephi was not doing well and I ended up taking him to my mom's house for special one on one time while I went to work. Once at work I was surprised in my first meeting of the day with an award.

One Extra Step - how fitting it is a baby shoe. So, although I am struggling to be a full time mom and employee -  days like these make it a little easier.

Sick Time



This year has hit our house pretty hard - we have had a sickness in our house now for almost six weeks. Between Clairana having strep/eye infection/flu and Nephi having respiratory infections/ear infections/eye infections/ and more ear infections - we are READY for SPRING!

PS if we have another round of ear infections Mr. Nephi will be getting tubes.

We will see.....

Disney on Ice - Videos

Disney On Ice

Last weekend, we went to see Disney On Ice

which we had put in Clairana's stocking for Christmas.

We had an alright time, she was really excited to see all the characters and

Nephi was clapping most of the show. 

The only downfall was that earlier that morning, Levi had taken Clairana to Urgent Care for what we thought was pink eye but ended up being an infection in her eye from strep throat -

So..... neither of the kiddos was feeling up for a big adventure.

Lately she has been in to Tinkerbell so when all the fairies came out she starting yelling

"Daddy Daddy see the Fairies!" Adorable.

Oh and Bullseye from Toy Story was a big hit too.

SISTERLY NEWS!

This weekend started out pretty mellow until.....Uncle Nicky and Aunt Emi decided to share some news....

THEY ARE ENGAGED!

Ms. Emily Jo Russell will soon be Mrs. Emily Jo Ashby!

I have to tell the story because I am SO proud. Emily is a scrapbooker and Nick had the ring for over a week, bought a scrapbook and then did the first page with pictures of the ring and in the middle it said

"Will You Marry Me?"

How adorable is that! Great job Nicky! I can't believe he kept it completely a secret.
