Chicken Butchering

We did 38 chickens last week!
It was a long day, but it is done. Everyone helped.
We had another family come over to learn how the process is done.
Clairana did three chickens from start to finish - hurray for another one with a knife to help butcher.
Nephi cut wings and feet off most of the day as well as helped with the little girls.
Levi made this amazing table which saved our backs this time.
I learned that I may need a razor blade rather than a knife next time (won't get into those details)

Of course this is the expert that could butcher almost three to our one.

 Clairana labeled hers.

Easter Part 1

Easter!
We did an egg hunt at our own house in the morning. Went to church.
Then headed to mom and Randy's for an egg hunt. Busy and fun day.
The golf cart is always a huge hit, and it works perfectly for mom to be able to see all the action.
More pictures to come when I get them from Levi...

Cousin Abbi came to hang out for the day.

Clairana took this selfie with Grandma.

Crazies!!

Activity Days Boys

Every other week the younger boys meet to have Activity Days.
This week Sister Clayton did the activity and they created dragon eyes with clay and jewels.
She has her own art studio and teaches for the local middle school. It was a hit for the boys.
Her son, Oliver, taught with her and shared some amazing ones he had made.

Cecily - Church

Sometimes this is what Sacrament meeting looks like with a toddler.
At least it was beautiful outside and I know the other four can sit in a pew alone for an hour.
It helps that Levi is on the stand and can look at them and we have lots of church family to help if needed.

Gather N Learn

We only have one week left!
Goodsell family did their family presentation this week to introduce Sonnet the newest love to their house.
Not pictured because she was sleeping.

Levi brought tacos for everyone which were amazing, and I had to take a picture of Millie and Johnathan eating standing up before the baby woke up.

Last week for art they painted their paper mache creations.

 Kelli and the kids!

For Science they studied the respiratory system and created a mock with balloons. So fun. They could choose to what difficulty level they wanted to create.

Carly teaching.

The Saturdays

Anne hosted book club this past time and it was so nice to be in her home. Everyone runs off and just starts enjoying all the other little people and I love that at her house I can just sit down and relax.

The kids did a train together as the craft. In the story it talks about the circus.

Cute book about a family that ends up saving their money each week to go out on Saturday. They have a few in the series but this is the only one we have read so far.
Sideways but I have a toddler with me now so it will probably stay this way forever.

More Memories

I brought a snake for a blindfold trick in high school science and the younger group thought it was amazing. I busted them all in the bathr...
