Malt

Levi's grandparents had talked about malts a couple times and I had never made them before, so we made it a full event with sprinkles and cherries. They were wonderful!

 

Valentine Party

This year for Valentine's day we combined it with pajama day at co-op.

 I wore my robe over my clothes for Assembly. 

 The kids help me set up a book station and we had a face painting station.

 Dennise made all the girls bags with their initials! They were darling and had a Latin Valentine inside. She also made one for me!

 Everyone brought it treats to share. 

 Ms. Alyssa made playdough with rose petals. 

 The grandparents sent a box of treats from Florida! 

 

 We did fancy hair!

 I gave all the mamas these little gnomes.

Bones

For Science we are now switching to everything body. 

This week we had bones and attempted to make our own skeleton. Clairana did an amazing job figuring out the hands and feet! 

This upcoming week I am going to teach them how to suture! 

 

Irma - Book Club

Book Club! 

We read The Bad Times of Irma Baumlein

Irma's lie about having the biggest doll in the world leads her into deeper and deeper trouble. It was a fun book to read and watch all the kid's expressions about how a lie can just snowball.

Dentist Trip

I have been taking the kids to the Indianapolis dentist/periodontist/orthodontist by myself lately, so I started a new tradition of rewarding us all at the pancake house next to the office. 

Clairana had a great check-up after her surgery. Nephi got his final retainer, so he only has one appointment in March and then he is off the hook. 

She was so proud of her Mickey Mouse pancakes. Clairana and Nephi told her all about how Uncle Jack makes his pancakes that way. Now all the little girls want to go stay with Aunt Rene and Uncle Jack. 

 

Roller Skating

Yesterday, we went roller skating again for Adventure Group. 

The kids all had a blast and I feel like everyone started out better than last time. I didn't skate this time, so I was nervous about Cecily, but she was fully independent and figured it out all by herself. We stayed for almost four hours. Next month we are going to explore a new to us museum so the adventure will be slightly calmer.
