Wrapping Up Summer!

Schools start up in the next two weeks around here so we are fitting in as much time playing with friends as we can!
We will start our Homeschool Swim & Gym program which is twice a week in August and then our coop Classical Conversations will start in September. I am enjoying these last few moments of rest before life gets crazy again.....and we throw a newborn in the mix again.

Nephi had a damaged front tooth that had to be removed and we found out you should probably remove both of them to keep the teeth straight and on the same schedule. Ukkk. Glad this is over. He did it!

I have looked all around for a nature journal for the kids that actually gives them a jumping off point and has spaced for them to write - most books are lame because they are aimed more towards children who rarely get to experience nature. We have the huge blessing of being outside all the time.

Grandpa got a golfcart!

Swimming at Grandma & Grandpa Brigham's house

Indianapolis Zoo Run! Thanks to our cousins for the invite!

Dolphin Show

Nephi woke up earlier than the rest of us so he decided to build his own house.

Swimming at the Grandparents - They took Nephi and Clairana for an overnighter - they had a blast.
.Swimming, dinner out, playground and movie - Levi and I took the little girls on a date and road around in the gator till dark.

We have a monthly bookclub that meets and this month we read Henry and the Chalk Dragon, it was a great book full of imagination and being a knight.

Grandma Moni's for a swim date

Action Shot of Bella

Clairana took in a caterpillar over a month ago and it FINALLY turned into a moth.
I didn't realize how long it takes!

Chick-fil-a Day

Once a year, Chick-fil-a has a Eat More Chikin Campaign. If you dress up  like a cow you get a meal for FREE. We of course did it!
The kids had a lot of fun and Levi met us from work which always is nice to break up the day.
I took baby nipples and made myself a mama cow but the heat made them keep falling off.
Success $35 in free food from our favorite (possibly only) fast-food place.
If you have not tried their lemonade it will change your life. AMAZING.

Purdue Fountains!

I took the kids to have some fun on the Purdue University fountains before all the college students come back!

Great way to burn off some energy but not have to be overly anxious about them actually swimming.

Lunch with Church Friends

We have started to form great friendships with our church families and amazingly enough we have several homeschooling families.
This week we invited the Isenbargers over for lunch and playtime. I have been attempting to invite a new family over once a week.

Dessert with Aunt Woody & Uncle Greg

We had Aunt Woody and Uncle Greg over for s'mores around the fire and to show off our farm animals. We are very blessed with all the love and company we get living back at home. It is great for the kids to get to spend time with so many relatives.

Fairy Party - Clairana

Clairana was invited to a Fairy Party with several of the girls we homeschool with - she was very excited. I am so thankful that we have found a homeschooling community here and it just seems to keep growing.

The Neulieb Family have five little people whose ages are just a little older than ours.
They meet up with us once a week to homeschool at Classical Conversations.
I have actually known Anne most of my life...from a distance.
Her younger sister has been life long friends with my cousin. Small World.
