Happy Memorial Day!

We went with friends and provide service for our veterans. 

We placed flags on the graves.

Clairana and Nephi really enjoyed reading the names but were confused on why so many were named John.....

We attempted to dress the part!

We also got invited to spend the evening with Mamaw and Papaw which was lots of fun. 

Aunt Rene was there too and was giving the kids baseball lessons which got them all pumped up! 

I was so thankful to not make dinner and watch the kids play in the pond! 

Of course, the Evans family knows how to make the most amazing desserts, I was SUPER excited for the treats. 

It has been really hot here in Indiana.

Kayak Trip - Fairfield Lakes

On Sunday, Clairana woke up with an eye infection and I decided that just in case it was pink eye we would all stay home .... I knew it was just a matter of time before it spread to someone else. 

We are blessed to live right next door to Fairfield Lakes so instead of church we went on a kayak trip.

Everyone did really well - except Bella decided she would like to be the one in the boat all the time.

I am in love with having older kiddos now - its so much fun to enjoy activities with them.

PS - Cabella insist on wearing a hat a. winter. hat. everywhere. She was sweating but would not take it off. Guess we created a habit over the winter.

BoxCar Children

We met my girlfriend, Brandy, and her boys for a one time showing of the BoxCar Children. 

The kids had a great time and Coraline was perfect during the whole show. 

Levi had some one-on-one time with Bella at home.

Benjamin Harrison House Field Trip

We went with our CC homeschooling group to Indianapolis to see the Benjamin Harrison House.

Benjamin Harrison is the only United States president elected from the State of Indiana.

Our nation’s 23rd President

Harrison was truly one of the first American presidents to succeed in foreign policy and matters beyond our shores. He increased the nation as a player in global trading and therefore dealt with the resulting tariff issues.

First part of the tour we got to sign the United States Constitution.

We divided up into different states and Clairana was chosen to be the one to ring the bell and ask each state their vote.

Then we did a tour of the house - I may have caused this old man some anxiety...as I was trying to keep Bella occupied and was walking around the halls. 

My mom came too but I must not have gotten a picture of her signing!
