Butterflies

Reni gifted us a few caterpillars and an egg for our yearly butterfly experience. 

We had all boys. 

 

Ensley’s Birthday

In the craziness of fair we also had a cousin birthday party! 

I feel like we have been partying all month. 

Ensley had an early birthday because the Ashby family is expecting number FOUR any day now. 

SO EXCITING!! 

Their girls are just beautiful.

Cabella is FIVE

Cabella had a great birthday! 

Levi took the day off and went kayaking with her all alone which she loved. 

She got lots of art supplies, clothes, minnow net, smart watch, friend legos, necklaces.....

Mamaw and Papaw visit with gifts!

Red Lobster was her request for lunch with lots of shrimp.

We headed to the fair for Coraline to be judged for her project.

Off to Thai Ice Cream on Campus for dessert with family!

These two are so similar in lots of ways. They both love crafts and are completely content with coloring or drawing for hours. As I am typing this now they are in the same spot. Comic books and coloring.

4th of July

     4th of July weekend was busy and fun! 

We started with a bike parade and pancake party at church and ended with TONS of fireworks at our friend's house that included so many other friends too! 

Bella riding her bike - we don't get a chance to practice on the bike so that part was fun and we also realized we need to work on getting those training wheels off!

Coraline - Mini 4H

Coraline did Mini 4H this year and ended up choosing the bug project - pick a good bug and a bad bug. 

She chose bees and ticks. 

Cousins came to see her project display!

Part of the project was completing a manual as well.

Mom's Night Out

In the midst of crazy fair week, I was invited to a campfire night to celebrate Anne's birthday. 

Of course I had to go! It was a great time sitting around the fire just relaxing without my littles. 

I am so glad that Anne and I crossed paths a couple years ago because I enjoy her so much!

 

Miss Hickory - Bookclub

This past month we read a sweet book called Miss Hickory.

Its a novel from 1946 about a country girl who is made out of a hickory nut and apple twigs.

We met this time at ECC (a local church) which was a perfect space to run around and craft.

We love our bookclub - we are going on planning year number four! 

Of course we made our own hickory dolls and 

Bella got crafty with extra fabric and ended up with a headband.
