 Aunt Angie and Abbi came over for a birthday visit! 

 The little girls were invited to a birthday party that of course was magical. 

 They also went to the movies with the Mitchell family.

 Aunt Rene and Kelsey came over for a visit and brought the famous Mary Lou donuts.

Orientation Night

For Orientation Night this year Levi got permission for us to use the Cason Park Schoolhouse. It was so much fun, and the moms all loved it. This is the only picture I got as we were getting settled in and of course I was being a dork. 

We did dinner together in one of the pavilions. We have 13 families this year some new and some returning. We are already off and running and on our first break week. 

 

Book Club - Where the Red Fern Grows

We took the kids to Happy Hollow for book club this month. We read Where the Red Fern Grows - such a classic and a tearjerker! We all had a great discussion and ate loads of snacks.

 I got special candies for each family. They mentioned how excited the kids were in the book to buy this candy. They are candies made from tea.

Pennsylvania Trip

We went to Pennsylvania for the long weekend and enjoyed being with Symone and Ken. It was wonderful as always. Ken spoils us all with LOADS of special treats and the pizza is amazing. 

This time it was a little cooler, so they treated us to the Pittsburgh Zoo.

Mixture of Things

 BIOLOGY! This year I am teaching Clairana's sophomore class in co-op and I ordered all the things to be dissected. Their final project they chose to dissect a shark, so we are all excited for the last week of co-op. 

We have a missionary that sends us emails with updates. On Sunday nights Levi has been reading them to all of us. 

 

 

Indiana Dunes

I had a girlfriend call last minute to see if we could go to the dunes the next morning. 

I hesitated at first because we were booked all night (I had mama book club and that normally last till the wee hours of the morning...which I love so much) and well sometimes it feels overwhelming to load everyone up for the day and travel a couple hours by myself for fun. 

I also know myself and I rarely say no to an adventure/chaos with friends. 

BUT we did it and had a great time.  

The weather was perfect, and it was a great last celebration of summer. 

Someone doesn't fit in her bathing suit anymore.

 As the afternoon rolled around it did start to get busy but the morning was wonderful. 

 So fun to have an "ocean" so close to home! We stopped at the actually park entrance to take a break and walk around before meeting up at the beach.
