Christmas Parade - Ripple Style

We were invited to a private party on the second floor of Ripple while the Christmas parade was going on. Ripple has a second floor that overlooks Main Street. It was SO GREAT! 

The kids got to watch the parade while we were by heaters and a fire. Also, all food and drinks were on the house so that was extra wonderful.

 Nephi shouted to me to take a picture when we saw the first firetruck and send it to Aunt Ashli right away (they were basically huddled on my lap, so the picture was hard). Firetrucks will always bring sweet tears to all of us. Forever.

For Nephi's upcoming birthday he spent the afternoon/evening at the Monon Train Museum & Restaurant with grandparents. 

The largest private collection of railroad items shared with the public in the United States.

Splitting Wood

This year we lucked out and had a few trees that were close to the campsite and needed to be cleaned up. The kids all got to help, and they even ran the log splitter for hours. We made three truck loads up to the hay barn so we should be good to go for winter. 

Working myself out of a job. At least for this day. Equipment is so nice.

Annual Christmas party at church. We had it on Saturday morning which worked out nicely with all our other parties.

The Excel class made cookies in the shape of Africa & Australia for their Cartography class.

The littlest co-opers decided to make a mess while I was talking to the pastor and his staff.

Bubbe (Levi's step mother) came as a guest speaker to talk to the kids about metamorphosis. 

We are practicing for our Christmas lunch next week. The kids are singing to the parents and the church staff.
