Coraline - Mini 4H

Coraline did Mini 4H this year and ended up choosing the bug project - pick a good bug and a bad bug. 

She chose bees and ticks. 

Cousins came to see her project display!

Part of the project was completing a manual as well.

Mom's Night Out

In the midst of crazy fair week, I was invited to a campfire night to celebrate Anne's birthday. 

Of course I had to go! It was a great time sitting around the fire just relaxing without my littles. 

I am so glad that Anne and I crossed paths a couple years ago because I enjoy her so much!

 

Miss Hickory - Bookclub

This past month we read a sweet book called Miss Hickory.

Its a novel from 1946 about a country girl who is made out of a hickory nut and apple twigs.

We met this time at ECC (a local church) which was a perfect space to run around and craft.

We love our bookclub - we are going on planning year number four! 

Of course we made our own hickory dolls and 

Bella got crafty with extra fabric and ended up with a headband.

The girls have been drawing fairies no stop around here.

Also, Coraline who is the official cat lady at our house has hit the level of complete bliss. They are outside cats but she brings them in for soft food and cuddles each morning.

Cecily LOVES Nephi's guinea pigs. She is always sneaking in his room and coming out to hold them. Now if they could just be cleaner creatures I would love them more.

Poison Ivy is almost gone on Coraline's face - hopefully we get a break for a little while.

 

Pennsylvania Poolside Party

Over the weekend, we headed to Pennsylvania for some family time and sunshine.

Symone and Ken inherited an amazing table that was made from a local bridge and asked Levi to make them benches to go with it. 

Then they paid for us to deliver them too so part of the deal was two days in their beautiful home and pool. They fit perfectly in the new van so we made it a short vacation. 

Thankfully, we had Jack and Jane to come check on the animals and the new puppy that seems to be high maintenance right now.

At their house we have our own suite which works out so well for the kids and Levi and I to all be together.

When we decided to go I hurried and ordered flippers and a snorkel for the kids. 

Everyone did so good with the snorkel. 

Clairana in the snorkel. I love that Ken always gets in the pool with all the fun. 

Symone's sister was their and her niece so the kids had fun making silly faces on her phone while on a pool break.
