Back Porch Project!

We have lots of little boots and coats in this house so a back door with carpet was not working out to well and I needed more hooks for all the things.

We decided to have a fast and fun project.

Of course, Levi added his magic of wood working and made perfect hooks for all the things.
Which was so much cheaper than the store.

Now, I can clean the floor and all the puddles and breath a little easier about it.

Semi Before. We had already pulled the carpet out at this point. I was a little anxious to start.

Painting with mom in your underwear... What could be better?

Everyone wanted to write on the concrete floor before it was covered up!

AFTER.
We still have a few little things to finish up but we were excited to get ALL THE THINGS back into that room.

Snow Pant Hooks

Jackets.

A Tree for Peter

I got this book over Christmas break and we just now got time to squeeze it in but it was so worth it.
Such a sweet story about different views on life. Short only 100ish pages so the littles even hung on for the whole story.

Emily's Runaway Imagination

Another Bookclub Event!
The Goodsell family hosted this time and the book lined up perfectly with Valentine's day.
The kids made Valentines for a character in the book (like Emily did.)
They also dressed for the Hard Times Party which was in the book as well.
I forgot to get a picture of all the outfits but Clairana and Bella REALLY enjoyed getting ready for the party.

Clairana cut out all sorts of holes in her outfit and then sewed in patches.
Bella wore a dress up dress that she always begs to wear out but it is a mess.
Nephi and Coraline dressed up but it took some convincing they were not big on wearing anything 'ugly.'

As always so much fun!

I made two sugar cream pies which were listed in the book as well.
Some of our friends had never had it so it was a good introduction to the Hoosier dessert world.

Nephi wore one of Levi's shirts and Coraline decided not to brush her hair to play the part.

Bishopric Life - Church Cleaning

When your husband has a bishopric calling and it is our ward's time to clean the church.
You spend Friday night cleaning a 6000 sq ft building with your crew.

Hopefully, by the next time we will have other volunteers who have learned the ropes.
We rotate between other wards in the building so we won't have another cleaning night till Spring.
We don't hire people to clean our church buildings, it is the responsibility of the members.

Newest Walker!

Newest Evans' Toddler in the Library!

She went and got right on up on the chair. How Cute!
Then of course Mother Hen Coraline headed over to help.

Smith Family Tradition

We went and had our tradition of family fight night at the Smith house!

They always invite us over for the UFC fight night. Although this year we didn't stay all night because Levi was conducting church on Sunday and the fight didn't start till midnight.

They have technology everywhere in their house so the kids get to enjoy playing all sorts of games on all sorts of devices.
