Purdue Homeschool Gym Class

Each week the kids have a chance to go over to campus and work with college students in their gym clinic. The kids all get assigned to one student and get to wear a pedometer and have an hour long gym class.

This past week was gymnastics.

This is our first year doing it, I was not willing to make the commitment last year with a newborn. It has been really enjoyable! Clairana and Nephi love it and they put out gym toys for the little siblings to play during the class as well. Plus, I get to catch up with all the homeschooling mamas while everyone is playing.

I don't know if we will do it again during the next semester due to the weather and trying to stay home more and focus on our studies (to make sure we are done with school work before the beautiful weather comes!) although... I do plan to sign us up again next fall.

It is a pretty small class so you have to be on the ball to get on the list.

 This was this week - weather is getting a little cooler. The kids just jumped up there while we were waiting on Clairana to run back in and return her name badge...so of course it was a perfect moment for a picture.

Bookclub - Rabbit Hill & All Alone

We ended up with two books this month because CC started and well life was busy ending summer and starting back to homeschooling life.

All Alone - Sweet Book. I cried at the end. Two boys on different mountains tending cows. Yodeling to each other. 

Rabbit Hill - Such a great audio book it is a simple sweet story with beautiful language that honestly was a little difficult to read out loud. 

It improved my language skills.

Terri & Destry Came to Visit!

Terri and Destry came to visit us from Washington! 

It was a fast visit but we packed it with some great memories. We were blessed to have them stay at our house so we got to enjoy special night and morning time. 

I will say that more often just Terri comes to visit us but Destry came this time and the kids LOVED having him here too. Especially Coraline. She claimed him from the very first night.

Cousin Fun

This was a sweet moment captured. My mom came over to have smores while Terri and Destry were visiting and as the night went on we came inside and my mom has been struggling getting around since her stroke.
Clairana went and got checkers and a stool so they could play from where my mom sat.

Clairana shows the most compassion of anyone I have ever met. Her love is strong.

I will always remember how we used to take her to the grocery store as a tiny toddler and she would randomly run up to people and hug them....

Levi and I were often embarrassed at first or thought it was super strange but every time that person would come up to us afterwards and ask how she knew that they needed that. Most times in tears.

Levi got us tickets to go enjoy a music festival while they were visiting!

Jeriko and Mike got new phones right before we went to the festival so......this was about what Jeriko looked like the whole time. 

Clairana had lots of plans to bake while they were here and one morning it was raining so it was perfect timing!

Levi's mom got me cookie stamps for Halloween! So Fun.

Exploration Acres with Friends!

Our October calendar is still looking like summer around here!

Visitors, Parties, General Conference....

We are full of fall festivities!

We were invited by a group of church friends to come spend the evening together at Exploration Acres. They rent a campsite each year and this year they invited us to tag along. 

I will say that I loved all the traveling we did and getting to know people from all over the world and thanks to social media we still get to see their families but I do love being permanent now and enjoying 'townies' that will be here with us forever. 

I am still hoping that arranged marriages make a come back....just kidding. sort of.
