Life in Havasu

We decided to SPLURGE on real sandals this year - seems we are already wearing them and will until October the locals say....
NIKE for ALL

It's A A A Another GIRL!

We are officially at the halfway mark of 20 weeks and it will be a
GIRL!!

Nephi is still in denial and told the doctor he was wrong.
This birth will be a little different seems there is not many options in Arizona.
We have a male doctor as midwives are not allowed to practice here.
No birthing center and No home births.
The options in the hospital are limited - must labor and deliver in bed, no showers/tubs/birthing equipment....so we will see how long I labor at home this time or maybe Levi will just bring this one into the world.
We are the closest we have ever been to the hospital - barely 5 mins driving the speed limit.

Figured I should try and attempt at least one bump photo at this point.
Seems we have had placenta issues with everyone else we will have a ultrasound next week to verify the health/status of the placenta.

Homeschooling Life - Chapter Books!

This is what Coraline does during School Time!

Handwriting Time

Our New Tradition - I decided we were ready to start to stretch our imagination and read chapter books.
We decided on Mr. Popper's Penguins and today we made our own penguins.

Meet Lehi (Nephi's Penguin) & Carla (Clairana's Penguin)

What our kitchen table looks like on a daily basis.

SARA's Crack - Hiking AZ

Levi has been traveling lately for work so it has just been me with the kiddos.....
We have been venturing out to see this new state we live in and enjoy the sunshine.
We decided to go with a few friends and hike SARA's Crack.

Moderate with climbing
Length of hike: 5 miles
Hiking time: 3 hours
History: The Crack in the Mountain Trail, known by locals as "SARA's Crack," primarily follows a natural wash down to Lake Havasu, but the blue and green trails were established by Tim O'Connor in 1986. Balance Rock has been climbed by members of the Leaping Lizards Tribe.

Clairana - Top in Pink
Nephi - Bottom in Blue

The Little One - Mostly got carried because it was too rough for her to walk

Zona - Like AriZONA

We have been looking for a puppy for a little while now - mostly for the kids and helping with our transition of moving.

We have not been able to find any Jack Russell puppies until last week..... Levi has always wanted a Jack Russell and I have heard about it LOTS seems I picked out the basset hound breed.

We didn't tell the kids so we could make sure we were ready for the adventure.....several days past and Levi decided on Saturday we should travel to Vegas for a surprise.

We stopped at a pet-store on the way but the kids still had no idea - Clairana was begging for a rat....ummmm nope.

We wanted to name her something that has to do with our time now.
Zona is her Name.

She is already potty trained which is crazy amazing.
It may be nice to have a 'smart and not as stubborn' breed.

Although, I for see days of high jumping and crazy running around here.

She is eight weeks old and has small black dots on her ears.
Picture Coming Soon - Coraline likes to sneak in her crate and sleep with her.

I told them to go inside and get changed to go out to eat.....this is what I got.

Found a restaurant here that is good - we put the kids to bed and ordered take out for ourselves.
Date Night....Sorta.

Quails in our backyard...and a few rabbits

The girls got haircuts and they asked if they could have a sucker....sure....HOLY COW.
