Our House

It would not be the Evans' cabin if a project was not going on.... drum roll please.

We are adding a MUD ROOM/SAUNA!

January

Thought this was really ironic, when I was pregnant I had Tums all day everyday and well now Clairana thinks that this is her new toy!
She is eating a pickle, sucked it dry - our little vinegar lover!

Change

This past week has been difficult in our house, well at least for me. Terri & Destry have been in Arizona due to a death in the family - meaning Clairana had to go to two different peoples houses this week. The first day she screamed 1/2 of the day and then wanted to be held the rest of the time. I know that it is good for both of us to have a mix up in schedule and to have a back-up plan but it is hard!
Thank you SO much to our great church family who is always there with open arms.

Girls Night...ALOHA

Once a month all the girls at church get together for a night out - mostly without little ones. Last night Bonnie got to throw the party- Louie Lou Ow Ow. Hawaiian themed as you can tell. Terri even decided to come out and tell us all about Hawaii which was great. Oh yes and of course Clairana was the mascot of the night!

Can't wait to take this baby to the beach!

After Dinner Discussion

Everyone keeps saying that if you make a perfect routine every night, Clairana will know what to expect and life will be easier.. Anyways, we are trying but one thing that has stuck is that every night after dinner, I clean up and Levi sits on the couch and listens yes I repeat listens to Clair tell him about her day. She just goes on and on - well we think she is telling him about her day! It is adorable.

The Weekend

When we woke up on Saturday - it was NOT raining. So we hurried and loaded up and went hiking. We went to a trail about 3 miles from our house in Maple Falls.

Then on Sunday we woke up to SNOW! We have been borrowing Terri and Destry's car because we are getting the transmission repaired on the truck...this being said we did not go to church on Sunday because of the snow. So instead we decided to enjoy nature and take a walk around our country club. Clairana enjoyed it so much she fell asleep.

All in all the weekend was full of being outdoors which we love, it is hard to believe it is this beautiful outside our front door! Pictures to come on the new house project.

Seven Months

Wow. Where has the time gone, I can not believe that Clairana is now seven mths old and can sit up by herself. It does feel strange that she is becoming more independent and we are able to sit her down and go to the bathroom or make dinner.

Another exciting step is that she now holds her hands up when she wants you to pick her up....melts our hearts.

Here are a few pictures from our matching outfits for church and her harley outfit from G & G Gobel - Thanks!

Uncle Nicky & Uncle Tanner

Well, when the Christmas presents came from Indiana we were very curious of what Nick and Tanner would get their one and only niece.

As most of us know, Tanner is and always has been ooh no I mean 'was' the baby of the family. They did better than I had ever guessed... wonder if that is thanks to mom.

Tanner went practical and got her a hat and gloves. Although we thought it was for a toddler the hat does fit this girl! Thank you Evans' family for those genes. As for Uncle Nicky we think he may have a shoe fetish-which we LOVE. He got her North Face Snow boots that fit perfect!

Thanks boys for the gifts you did good!

New Years Eve

What to do for New Years Eve.....

We decided on a dinner at Milanos in Glacier, WA. This place is AMAZING. We got lobster tail and beef tenderloin. Levi had to take a picture of Clair after I had dressed her for the evening.... Yeah I didn't realize how busy places on on New Years Eve and well how many people check out your baby..... at this point I was wishing she was two so I could say that she dressed herself for the special night. This being said I was going for cute with comfort and warmth.

Yes, she is wearing a zebra coat, ballerina outfit, and no other than her new North Face boots! BEAUTIFUL!

Semiahmoo

Terri had forgotten her purse at the resort on Christmas so we headed back to the resort.
Hard to believe it is almost January!
We took a walk on the northern Puget Sound shoreline, overlooking Semiahmoo Bay and Drayton Harbor.

Levi’s birthday!

This man has a birthday now in between two girls and Halloween and our anniversary - who would have thought that October would have gotten ...
