Thanksgiving

Today, we spent most of the day at home enjoying it being just the three of us. Then later in the day Terri & Destry invited us over for dinner. Everything was wonderful, one day I hope I can bake as well as my mother-in-law.

Then we got home after being completely stuffed and ready to lay on the couch.

Although things did not go as planned - we walked into a house full of smoke. No damage done besides the fact that our clothes will smell like campfire for the next few days and I have lots of laundry to do now.

Reminder- do not leave the wood stove burning and the exhaust fan on in the kitchen.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! We feel blessed to have all our friends and family in our life.

Now off to get the little one to bed.

First Sign of Snow

This past Tuesday we woke up to snow. I sat Clairana in front of the window and amazingly enough she actually sat and watch the snow while I had breakfast, amazing how beautiful Mother Nature can be. Cheap Entertainment.

Apples & Pomegranates

I had made Clair her first real fruit, apples - she was not as excited as I was about the whole adventure....actually Levi was eating pomegranates and thought he would be funny and squeeze the seed in her mouth. She LOVED it.

Seriously, this child would rather have the fruit that has to be squeezed into her mouth, stains clothes, and faces (see picture) than good old Washington apples.

The apples served a better purpose by throwing them from the counter to the floor and watching me pick them up.

5 Months

Well, I guess I need to catch up with what has been going on around here.

Levi found at about two weeks ago that at the end of the month he will be getting laid off from work. This came as a surprise but he has had several interviews so we are hopeful that the right door will open up soon.

In the mean time he has been staying at home with Clairana which has been great for them to get to know eachother and have bonding time. He can now get her to fall asleep!

She has started laughing and giggling at different things, her favorites are watching the basset hounds race around the house and Levi throwing her up in the air.

Around the House

Dharma is starting to accept Clairana as her new buddy - we will see.

Notice how she is holding on to Levi...crazy girl.

Homemade Baby Food - 1st Round Carrots

Yesterday, I spent the day making Clairana carrots for the week. It is crazy to think that she is already old enough to eat food.

She liked the carrots but afterwards I noticed it was everywhere!

Winter is Coming

We got this adorable hat from one of my co-workers, this child is all smiles.

Levi’s birthday!

This man has a birthday now in between two girls and Halloween and our anniversary - who would have thought that October would have gotten ...
