Can you believe she is almost 5 months old?!

Rice Cereal

This week we have officially started rice cereal, she actually does not like to eat for me but with Levi she is a champ. Thanks to Grandma(my mom)we have an adorable bib that says no other than 'I Love My Grandma' - how appropriate and Clairana's own silverware for this big adventure.

First dinner without the little one

Last Friday was Levi's big 27th birthday, his request was to enjoy a night out just the two of us. With hesitation on my part we left Ms. Clairana behind. We went out to Black Forest which for those that have come to visit, I am sure we took you there. This place has the most amazing steaks. Thanks to Grammy and Yogi (Levi's mom Terri and Destry) for babysitting.

Relaxing

This weekend we decided to just stay home and enjoy the last few days of sunshine here in the Northwest. We actually got to take naps on both Saturday and Sunday which was wonderful! Here are just a few pictures of around the house...

Levi did get to go hunting on Saturday morning, which now that he is able to hunt cougars and bears I am VERY nervous and VERY thankful when he comes home.

Primary Songs

I have been called to help plan the Primary program for church, in the means of trying to learn the songs poor Clairana has had to listen to me sing....here she is completely asleep with the song book.

First Basset Ride....many more to come

Purple for Church

Thought we needed to take a picture of us in our matching purple outfits, Levi is always such a good sport and seems to have a tie in every color!
I <3 having a GIRL!

A is for Apple

Well, what better day than 10.10.10 to try out solid food?! I think Levi was the most excited seems he tried to give her a beef stick before I finally gave in to trying her first food- from her apple tree. Now, amazingly enough we planted an apple tree for Ms. Clairana and this year it actually produced one apple. Perfect!

4 Mth Check-Up

Monday we went to see Clairana's Naturopathic doctor. Of course along with the appointment comes the immunizations-hints the reason I am home today.

The results:

Weight- 12 lbs 13oz (25-50%)
Lenght- 25 3/8 (90%)
Head- 41.5 cm (75%)

She said she was growing like a weed and that my milk supply was plenty- which is a huge relief. We do get to start introducing foods anytime now.

Now back to snuggling.

Fall Time

On Sunday, we decided to go out again for the farm weekend. This time we went to an oyster farm and to a pumpkin patch. I can't believe it is already October!

To the Farm

After the tree came down Destry, Terri, and Caroline invited us to go with them on the Farmer's tour - pretty much it is when local farmers open up the barn doors for everyone to look around. We started at a alpaca farm and ended at an orchard eating apples and elephant ears. It was a great time after all the hard work.

Timber

Yesterday was full of excitement! In the morning we had a tree taken down which was over 70 ft tall and in our neighbors yard. Long story but really it was dead and Levi was nervous it was going to fall on our house so after much conflict with the neighbors it was taken down yesterday. Don't worry we hired a professional.

Levi’s birthday!

This man has a birthday now in between two girls and Halloween and our anniversary - who would have thought that October would have gotten ...
