Christmas Day

Our first Christmas as a FAMILY!
We took Terri & Destry on a surprise trip for our gift to them for all they do for us here in Washington. We are very grateful that Terri is able to watch Clairana while Levi and I are at work.

We went to Semiahmoo for a day of
SWIMMING and FOOD!

Clairana even fell asleep before we left the pool, she is becoming quite the little fish!
Hope everyone had a great Holiday.

Tis The Season

It is almost that time - Our First Christmas as a FAMILY! Although the recent weather (49 and rainy) does not feel to holiday like.

Our perfect little tree that Terri and Destry surprised us and put up. We are very thankful to have them so close.

Sorry to all the Hoosiers we are going to be Washingtonians for Christmas this year! We do miss everyone greatly...Have a Merry Christmas!

New Job

Well for all you that do not know I got laid off from Colacurcio on 11/1/10. The day after Danielle and I received our temple recommends. The adversary has more influence than Danielle and I thought! In less than two weeks I had two job offers. The first was with Profile Construction who is a framing subcontractor wanting to take the step to be a GC in the public sector and the other was Axiom who is a sheet metal subcontractor. I chose Profile.

Canada/Temple

Clairana's first trip to Canada, well actually second but I forgot my hand gun in the truck....they did not think it was very humours - poor Levi had to be searched and they sent us back.

Anyways, we went to see the LDS temple and the distribution center. As you can see someone was very sleepy.

Brigham/Wallace Visit

Busy Busy week... Mom, Randy, and Oma came to visit this past week.

The trip started in Seattle by having lunch at the Space Needle (see first taste of carbs above.)

We went to Harrison Hot Springs in Canada where Clair got to try out the mineral water and she LOVED it! She was splashing and kicking like crazy. I think we have a little fish on our hands.

We also went to go see the eagles and salmon which was Randy's favorite part of the trip. We could not have ask for better weather the sun was shining and NO RAIN the whole time they were here!

We had to show Oma Mt Baker and enjoy/see the snow.

The best day was on Sunday (Clairana was officially 6 mths old) Levi gave her a blessing at church. Perfect day.

Here are all the pictures from the trip.

Thanksgiving

Today, we spent most of the day at home enjoying it being just the three of us. Then later in the day Terri & Destry invited us over for dinner. Everything was wonderful, one day I hope I can bake as well as my mother-in-law.

Then we got home after being completely stuffed and ready to lay on the couch.

Although things did not go as planned - we walked into a house full of smoke. No damage done besides the fact that our clothes will smell like campfire for the next few days and I have lots of laundry to do now.

Reminder- do not leave the wood stove burning and the exhaust fan on in the kitchen.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! We feel blessed to have all our friends and family in our life.

Now off to get the little one to bed.

First Sign of Snow

This past Tuesday we woke up to snow. I sat Clairana in front of the window and amazingly enough she actually sat and watch the snow while I had breakfast, amazing how beautiful Mother Nature can be. Cheap Entertainment.

Apples & Pomegranates

I had made Clair her first real fruit, apples - she was not as excited as I was about the whole adventure....actually Levi was eating pomegranates and thought he would be funny and squeeze the seed in her mouth. She LOVED it.

Seriously, this child would rather have the fruit that has to be squeezed into her mouth, stains clothes, and faces (see picture) than good old Washington apples.

The apples served a better purpose by throwing them from the counter to the floor and watching me pick them up.

5 Months

Well, I guess I need to catch up with what has been going on around here.

Levi found at about two weeks ago that at the end of the month he will be getting laid off from work. This came as a surprise but he has had several interviews so we are hopeful that the right door will open up soon.

In the mean time he has been staying at home with Clairana which has been great for them to get to know eachother and have bonding time. He can now get her to fall asleep!

She has started laughing and giggling at different things, her favorites are watching the basset hounds race around the house and Levi throwing her up in the air.

Around the House

Dharma is starting to accept Clairana as her new buddy - we will see.

Notice how she is holding on to Levi...crazy girl.

Homemade Baby Food - 1st Round Carrots

Yesterday, I spent the day making Clairana carrots for the week. It is crazy to think that she is already old enough to eat food.

She liked the carrots but afterwards I noticed it was everywhere!

Rice Cereal

This week we have officially started rice cereal, she actually does not like to eat for me but with Levi she is a champ. Thanks to Grandma(my mom)we have an adorable bib that says no other than 'I Love My Grandma' - how appropriate and Clairana's own silverware for this big adventure.

Stay Tune for Halloween Pictures.....
